Wireless Festival Birmingham Day 3
Day 3 went very smoothly as all the acts that I wanted to check out were on the Main Stage. Iggy Azalea brought her sassy demeanour while Tinie Tempah turned Perry Park into the hot summer beaches of Ibiza, complete with tank top, shorts and shades.
Pharrell Williams fully lived up the word ‘Happy’ by inviting fans on the stage to dance and have fun with the man himself. He also gave a lovely girl the feel-good experience of a lifetime with a nice hug and inspirational speech.
As the sun was setting, it was time for Mr Kanye West to hit the stage. he came out with a quite unusual mask. He looked like a blinged-out stormtrooper. The crowd was extra hyped up for his performance even before he showed up. Fortunately no long rant this time around. He even apologised for being ‘nice’.
West ended the show with ‘Blood on The Leaves’ with all red lighting reminiscent of U2′s ‘Under a Blood Red Sky’ album cover. Kanye certainly left the fans wanting more. I very much enjoyed all of what Wireless had to offer and hoping that they come back next year.
